En plein air. Painted early on a Spring morning on the banks of the Santa Fe river, one of my favorite venues. Every spring at the beginning of the sow run off fro, the sangre de Cristo Mountains I run down to the river to paint. I enjoy listening to the water while dog walkers stroll by. The vertical format was new to me. Compare this with my other Santa Fe River paintings.
