The Golden Rectangle consists of a square and a smaller (vertical) golden rectangle. One can divide up each subsequent golden rectangle into a square plus a smaller golden rectangle. And we can see the squares 'whirling' around a point that we might call the "eye". A spiral may be constructed by quarter circles within each square. Note how the eye is at the intersection of the main diagonal and its reciprocal.
