In this painting, the focal point (waterfall) was placed a little below the upper right polar point. The artist is free to choose the focal point(s) from many candidates. We felt that pushing it up to the upper right more would not allow room for the background. Perhaps we could have painted this from the stream bed rather than from the top of the slight hill and the waterfall would have ‘fallen’ into the polar point. Near Golden Mean Ratio: 19/12 = 1.5833...near enough to PHI = 1.618... to use the spiral armature.
