Plein Air Painters of New Mexico Juried and Non-juried Exhibits

The Plein Air Painters of New Mexico sponsors several exhibitions and Paint Out Shoes every year. Visit www.papnm.org where I have been the Webmaster for several years. Shows have been held at the Santa Fe Galleries: Sorrel Sky, InArt and Collectors as well as at the Taos galleries: the Wilder Nightingale Gallery and the Taos Museum: Fechin House and the Blumenschein Museum as well as the Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos. 2022: My painting, Balboa Park Impression was juried into the National Member Show, Oct-Nov. I participated in the Los Alamos Paint Out and Show in September with the two paintings, Los-Alamos-Anderson Trail and White Rock Overlook. Have a look at my blog: A Mathematician Paints, in particular the post titled, Los Alamos, Here I come Part 1. 2021: In November two of my paintings were juried into the National Members Show at Sorrel Sky Gallery: Awakening and Southwest Layers. An art collector bought them both before the opening!! I have included a photo of us at the opening. Except for the photo I wore a mask inside and for most of the opening sat out in front anyway. But it was good to get out and to go to my first indoor event since the pandemic began. For the remaining PAPNM Art events over the years, see the details in the images. In particular though, Blowin' in the Wind won an Honorable Mention at the 2020 Taos Plein Air Event.
