The Opening Reception was Saturday evening, August 1, from 5-8 pm at the Wilder Nightingale Fine Arts Gallery, Taos, NM (575-758-3255). Jana Van Wyk, fellow plein air artist, came to the paintout from North Carolina and and we drove to sites together each day: including the John Dunn Bridge, the Rio Grande Overlook, the Overland Sheep Store just north of Taos proper, with a breathtaking mountain view and the St Francis of Asisi Church - up at dawn each day and collapsing early every evening. We each submitted two paintings for the show. You may see Jana's work at www.janavanwyk.blogspot.com, with some photos of us as we paint. It's been a great week and I'm anxious for you to view the results. Exhibition Dates: Aug 1 -16, 2009. You may view the works of all participating painters at the gallery at: http://www.wnightingale.com/artists/81.
